The U.S. Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components industry segment showed adjusted shipments worth $9,146 million in February 2011, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders. February 2011 shipments were up from $8,711 million in January 2011 and from $8,456 million in February 2010.
Year-to-date the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components industry segment showed adjusted shipments of $17,857 million, up from the $16,401 million reported for the same period in 2010.
New orders in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components industry segment in February 2011 were $10,079 million, up from $9,655 million in January 2011 and up from $8,933 million in February 2010.
Year-to-date new orders were $19,734 million, compared to $17,845 million in the same time period in 2010.
