Electrolux Names a World’s Most Ethical Company Mar 25, 2011

Electrolux was recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the companies in the ranking World’s Most Ethical Companies 2011. The ranking names 110 companies in 38 industries that surpass their industry peers. The named companies are singled out for implementing business practices and initiatives that are instrumental to the company’s success, benefit the community, and raise the bar for ethical standards within the industry.

Ethisphere Institute reviewed thousands of companies through research and multi-step analysis. This includes analysis of codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories, evaluations of investment in innovation, and sustainable business practices. It also identified activities that improve corporate citizenship, as well as studied nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers.

“As companies strive to maintain a competitive advantage, good ethics translate into better business, and better business means better bottom lines. Electrolux recognizes the important role that principled practices play in brand reputation, which ultimately is the most valuable asset for a corporation,” said Alex Brigham, Executive Director of the Ethisphere Institute.
