Foxconn Display Supply May Be Affected by Japan Quake Mar 22, 2011

The world’s biggest consumer electronics contract manufacturer, Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Group), is experiencing display panel supply problems as a result of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, according to CNA. The media report said there were limited problems with the supply of anisotropic conductive film used in LCD display production. Suppliers Sony Chemical and Hitachi Chemical both produce ACF in Japanese plants.

Foxconn manufactures Apple’s iPhones and iPads, as well as PCs and other electronic devices for a number of global brands.
