Electrolux Selects Augusta Location for Expanded Customer Care Center Feb 24, 2011

Electrolux selected a location in Augusta, GA, to be the site for its future expanded North American major appliances Customer Care Center. The center will create 225 new full-time positions by the end of 2013.

The center will provide support to consumers, dealers, and servicers and will have inbound and outbound call center functions and technical and support activities.

The site, a former Dillard's retail store, will get $2.5 million renovations beginning in the Spring 2011. The facility is expected to be completed and in operation in Fall 2011.

Electrolux Major Appliances North America had its headquarters in Augusta for several years, but in March 2010 announced it would consolidate the headquarters operations along with sales, finance, and industrial design operations in a single location in Charlotte, NC, which officially opened Nov. 19, 2011. From the first announcements of the consolidation Electrolux said it intended to keep its Customer Care Center in Augusta.
