Fagor Industrial, the Fagor business that manufactures commercial foodservices appliances, equipped the kitchen of the Harwood Arms, the first English pub to receive a Michelin star.
Harwood Arms is in London's Fulham district and is now considered a gastropub - a variation of the English pub that offers cuisine comparable to a fine restaurant.
The restaurant was refurbished before re-opening in 2008, and the kitchen includes Fagor 700 series cooking appliances. These include high-power burners and the SG-70 gas salamander. A Visual Plus Combination Oven offers four cooking modes - steam, adjustable steam, regeneration (reheating), and convection. It also offers an auto-reverse fan for balanced cooking, HACCP (food safety management) recording system, and five self-cleaning programs.
Chefs Mike Robinson, from Pot Kin restaurant in Yattendon, Berkshire, and Brett Graham, from the Ledbury (with two Michelin stars) in Notting Hill, developed the new restaurant and put Chef Stephen Williams in charge of the kitchen. The Harwood Arms became the first establishment of its kind to receive a star from the prestigious French Michelin guide.
