U.S. production of major plastic resins totaled 5.9 billion pounds during November 2010, a decrease of 2.5% compared to the same month in 2009, according to statistics from the American Chemistry Council (ACC). Year-to-date production was 69.2 billion pounds, a 3.6% increase compared to the same period in 2009.
Sales and captive (internal) use of major plastic resins totaled 6.1 billion pounds during November 2010, an increase of 1.5% from November 2009. Year-to-date sales and captive use was 68.7 billion pounds, a 3.3% increase compared to the same period in 2009.
