Appliance Manufacturers' Shipments up 6.7% in 2010 Feb 1, 2011

The Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category reported December 2010 seasonally adjusted shipments worth $10.037 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The number represents a 1.8% increase from November 2010 shipments valued at $9.690 billion. The category reported seasonally adjusted new orders of $10.745 billion, down 0.1% from November's $10.751 billion

Non-seasonally adjusted shipments for the entire year 2010 in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were valued at $114.851 billion, up 6.7% from $107.688 billion in 2009. New orders in the category in 2010 were $119.871 billion, up 13.6% from $105.500 billion in 2009.
