Bulk Molding Compounds, Inc. (BMCI), producer of thermoset bulk molding materials, said its new facility in Turkey began production this week.
Current production at BMC TetraDURTurkey Plastik Hammadde Kompozit Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (BMC TetraDURTurkey) is expected to increase quickly, the company said, with significant customer demand in Turkey and the surrounding regions.
The Turkish domestic BMC markets include appliance manufacturing, as well as electrical and automotive industries, and is growing at a double-digit annual rate annually. BMC TetraDURTurkey will have 20 employees at the outset. The facility is 20 miles east of central Istanbul. General manager for the facility is Hakan Unsal of BMCI’s German division, BMC Europe (BMCE).
