Hettich America L.P., a global manufacturer of hardware for appliances as well as kitchen cabinets and residential furniture, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its expanded U.S. operations in Buford, GA.
The recently opened 150,000-sq-ft facility brings 100 jobs to Gwinnett County. The facility can accommodate further expansion, which could add 50 more jobs in the coming years.
The facility serves as the North American Headquarters for Hettich America and houses functions such as sales, manufacturing, research and development, and engineering. The facility is located in IDI’s Hamilton Mill Business Center at 4295 Hamilton Mill Rd. in Buford.
"Hettich is continuing to launch new products and expand its operations; we needed a location that would give us opportunity to grow over the coming years and one that would be centrally located for both our Baldwin and Alpharetta employees,” said Thomas Ginschel, president of Hettich America.
The Hettich facility makes use of sustainability tactics such as T5 lighting, motion and daylight harvesting sensors, utilization of generator heat in winter, and instant flow water heaters.
