Rayburn now offers a solar electricity option on its in-home cooking/heating/hot water appliance system. Rayburn cast-iron cooking ranges (cookers) are installed in UK homes along with a central heating boiler to create a home energy appliance system providing home heat and hot water.

Rayburn solar electric photovoltaic (PV) panels absorb solar energy and generate electricity that can be used to run appliances and lighting. Electric AGA Rayburn cooking appliances can also store the solar-generated electricity for later use, rather than sending excess energy back to the electrical grid. A UK government incentive program provides for payment to consumers of 41.3p per kWh fed back to the grid.
