Seasonally adjusted shipments in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category, reported by the U.S. Census Bureau, were $9,573 million in October 2010, up 0.2% from $9,551 million in September 2010. Shipments in this category were down 0.9% August to September and up 0.5% July to August.
Year-to-date, not seasonally adjusted shipments for October 2010 were $95,178 million, up 5.9% from $89,908 million in October 2009.
NEW ORDERS: Seasonally adjusted new orders in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were $9,764 million in October 2010, down 3.4% from $10,112 million in September 2010. September was up 0.7% from $10,037 in August.
Year-to-date, not seasonally adjusted new orders were $99,440 million, up 12.5% from $88,364 in October 2009.
