Americans own lots of devices, and parents more so than the general populations, according to an IPSOS poll conducted for battery maker Duracell. The survey 75% of parents rely on mobile devices to help them accomplish what they need to do during the day – charging these devices is part of that daily to-do list for 65% of parents.

But 62% of parents, and 59% of adults overall don't like the cords. What's more:
• 68% feel frustrated by cords cluttering up the home.
• 82% of parents, 76% of adults in general believe less charger cord clutter would improve their home decor.
• keeping living spaces neat makes 77% of adults and 80% of parents less stressed
• 86% of parent life would be easier if they could wirelessly charge devices

Duracell believes it has a solution in its Duracell myGrid charging pad, capable of simultaneously charging up to four gadgets without multiple cords. It is compatible with top-selling devices such as iPhone, BlackBerrys, HTC, LG, and others.

The U.S. national survey was conducted online by IPSOS Public Affairs Oct. 19-21, 2010 using a national sample of 1723 adults over the age of 18, including 500 parents living with children under 18. Duracell is part of Procter & Gamble Company.
