The North American Die
Casting Association is encouraging all metalcasters, researches, and
industry suppliers to submit papers on new technologies, procedures,
equipment, products, and other innovations for the metalcasting
industry.
As of Nov. 1, 2010, the Die Casting Congress and Tabletop NADCA Paper
System will be available for paper submissions. The site contains
information and services necessary for creating and submitting a paper
for publication. Go to:

NADCA said that some types of papers that are Particularly
desirable include:
- papers
relating practical experience
- case
studies from casting personnel
- papers
on metalcasting management and marketing strategies
It
also provides a list some of the potential topics:
- solidification
modeling and stimulation (new die design techniques)
- zinc
alloy application and development
- process
engineering (process application)
- new
magnesium applications and alloy development
- process
control and continuous improvement (quality systems, advancements in
automation, metal processing)
- aluminum
alloy development
- machine
and equipment technology (shot end components)
- die
materials
- environmental
& safely issues (air emissions systems, plant air cleaning
filtration, safety improvements)
- die
coating and surface treatment (die lubricant development)
- advanced
technologies (squeeze casting and semi-solid casting)
The deadline to
submit abstracts is February 11, 2011. Complete papers must be
submitted by June 1, 2011. Details are at:
