Seasonally adjusted shipments in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category, reported by the U.S. Census Bureau, were $9516 million in September 2010, down 1.3% from $9637 in August 2010. Shipments in this category were up 0.4% July to August and up 0.9% June to July.
Year-to-date, not seasonally adjusted shipments were $85,385 million, up 5.8% from $80,698 million in September 2009.
NEW ORDERS: Seasonally adjusted new orders in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were $9982 million in September 2010, up 0.4% from $9943 in August 2010. New orders in this category were up 3.3% July to August and down 4.5% June to July.
Year-to-date, not seasonally adjusted new orders were $89,308 million, up 13.1% from $78,962 million in September 2009.
UNFILLED ORDERS: Seasonally adjusted unfilled orders in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were $25,147 million in September 2010, up 1.9% from August 2010.
TOTAL INVENTORIES: Seasonally adjusted total inventories in the Electrical Equipment, Appliances, and Components category were $14,764 million in September 2010, up 1.0% from August 2010.
