Whirlpool Names Liotine VP/GM of Whirlpool Canada Sep 21, 2010

Whirlpool Corp. appointed Joseph T. Liotine vice president and general manager of Whirlpool Canada. Liotine will report directly to Marc Bitzer, president, Whirlpool Corp. North America. The appointment was effective as of Sept. 1, 2010.

Liotine joined Whirlpool in 2004 and held positions within the corporation’s finance, marketing, and sales organizations, most recently serving as general manager, key accounts at Whirlpool headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI, U.S.

“Joe's strong background in finance and sales, coupled with his leadership and experience will help accelerate the execution of our strategy for Whirlpool Canada," said Bitzer.

Prior to Whirlpool, Liotine held positions in finance with Quaker Oats and PepsiCo. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Illinois State University.
