The InfoControl Plus iPhone app from Miele lets European users have control of their Miele appliances. Communicating over wireless LAN, users can check the status of appliances in the home and even switch appliances on or off. Miele said it made allowances for safety - users cannot remotely turn on cooking appliances or turn off refrigerators, for example.
The app can also provide alerts to the user – such as when a roast needs to be basted, when a fridge door is left open, or when a dryer cycle is complete.
The app works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It can control Miele washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, cooking appliances, range hoods, and coffee makers.
