For the second year Thermador brand will be the luxury kitchen appliance provider for The New American Home (TNAH), the annual showcase house presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at the International Builders’ Show (IBS). It is one of the few times in the 28-year history of TNAH that the same appliance producer was named for the spot for two consecutive years.
With an eye to its focus on serious culinary enthusiasts, the appliance maker will work with NAHB to create a professional-grade, cooking- and entertaining-oriented kitchen equipped with the Thermador cooking, cleaning, refrigeration, and ventilation appliances. The home will debut during IBS, Jan. 12-15, 2011, in Orlando, FL.
Since its inception in 1984, TNAH has showcased products provided by the National Council of the Housing Industry (NCHI), the leading suppliers of NAHB. The finished product doubles as both a show home and for-sale product, balancing architectural freedom with the bottom line. It serves as a collection of ideas for builders, remodelers, architects, designers, and other trade professionals.
The 11,200-sq-ft showcase home features 9,689 sq ft of heated and air-conditioned space. It will integrate current technology in an American Empire design with Greek Revival elements, and is designed to combine an inviting layout with elegant style, eccentric interiors, and easy classicism.
The innovation-focused kitchen, designed specifically for the culinary enthusiast passionate about cooking and entertaining, will include Thermador built-in appliances such as:
• Professional Series Ovens
• Steam & Convection Oven
• Professional Series Rangetop
• Professional Series Custom Hood Insert
• Freedom Collection modular refrigeration and wine preservation columns
• warming drawer
• Savor coffee system
• Sapphire Dishwasher (pictured)
