Pagano Joining AISI as VP, Environment Aug 3, 2010

Peter A. Pagano will join the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) policy team on September 13 as vice president, environment. Pagano brings an extensive background in science and environmental policy to the Institute.

“Pete has been deeply involved in the shaping of environmental policy during his years at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and, as the senior environmental policy advisor to Senator Robert Torricelli (D-NJ)," said Thomas J. Gibson, AISI president and CEO. “In particular, his lead role at EPA on air quality issues and his role as an Executive branch congressional affairs liaison spanning three Presidential Administrations, bring a wealth of valuable experience to the Institute."

Most recently, Pagano has served as an advisor to the natural science research units of the Smithsonian Institution.
