Kysor/Warren, a division of Manitowoc Foodservice producing refrigerated display cases, opened a new distribution center in Columbus, GA, which will, in turn, allow the installation of three new production lines.
The new facility is now one of four facilities that the company operates in the city.
The new facility is located three miles from Kysor/Warren’s Columbus headquarters and is expected to be fully operational by August 2010. The 140,000-sq-ft distribution center will help streamline the manufacturer’s shipping capabilities while creating more production space within its existing 300,000-square-foot case plant.
“The additional space will allow us to install three more production lines which will enhance the process for distributing goods to our customers across the country,” said Lee McDaniel, vice president of manufacturing at Kysor/Warren. “The facility will be a great asset for accommodating the increased production volume we’ve experienced within the last year.”
