A. O. Smith Electrical Products Company, supplier of motors to the appliance and other industries, named Scott Rowell plant manager of its Mt. Sterling, Ky., stamping operations. Rowell will be responsible for meeting operation requirements of the 241,000-sq-ft plant, as well as a steel slitting operation in Winchester, KY.
Rowell joined A. O. Smith after 21 years with Delphi Corp., a supplier of transportation components, mobile electronics, and systems technology, where he held a wide range of manufacturing management and engineering positions. In his most recent assignment, Rowell was manufacturing engineering manager for the Thermal Division’s Mexican operations, responsible for designing and implementing new process technologies in the areas of metal stamping and fabrication, molding, painting, brazing and assembly. In addition, he was involved in developing lean/continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes.
