Free Heat Pump Water Heaters for Consumers in Tallahassee

Consumers in Tallahassee, FL, who act fast may be able to buy a GE GeoSpring Hybrid Water Heater and have the entire purchase price rebated.

The purchase can qualify for a $1200 rebate on heat pump water heaters for The City of Tallahassee Utilities customers, valid through Sept. 30, 2010, and a federal tax credit of up to $480, valid through Dec. 31, 2010. GE pointed out that this equals $1680 in incentives for water heater that is expected to retail for $1599.

The hybrid technology of the water heater cuts energy usage up to 62%.

Tallahassee also offers rebates on other energy efficient appliances, including $150 on refrigerators, $80 on freezers, and $200 on clothes washers.
