Spectrum Brands' shareholders approved the company's merger with Russell Hobbs, Inc., and the transaction is now expected to take place on June 16, 2010.
The merger was announced in February of this year and will bring Russell Hobbs' small household appliance brands into Spectrum's operating structure to form a new global consumer products company with $3 billion in annual revenues.
