The 2012 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code could pull the plug on the market for electrical resistance heating.
The International Code Committee, the primary source for building, fire, and energy codes in the United States, is accepting public comments until July 1, 2010.
While ICC codes are voluntary when issued, they are often adopted by U.S. municipalities as the legal building code.
