Kalamazoo Unveils Outdoor Warming Drawer at KBIS Apr 16, 2010

Outdoor kitchen appliances OEM Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet introduced a new 24-inch Warming Cabinet at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) on April 16, 2010.

The 4.7-cu-ft cabinet design was inspired by foodservice equipment and offers homeowners a larger and easier-to-use warm storage space.

"Now you can keep turkeys, hams, large bowls of dips warm outside. You’re no longer restricted to small, flat hors d’oeuvres," said Kalamazoo President Pantelis A. “Pete” Georgiadis.

Specialized, adjustable-height warming shelves each sit on stainless steel glides that extend beyond the cabinet’s opening, giving the user access to the entire shelf. Two shelves hold food and can be moved vertically within the cabinet to accommodate different sizes and shapes; each is 26 in long by 18-1/4 in wide in size.

A separate shelf holds two water trays that retain warmth, radiate moisture, and quickly reheat the cabinet’s interior after a door opening. The bottom shelf holds up to six gel-fuel canisters that maintain an interior temperature of 160°F in 30°F ambient weather.
