SolarHot Starts Solar Collector Manufacturing in North Carolina Apr 15, 2010

SolarHot will begin manufacturing its Platinum Series solar hot water collectors in its Morrisville, NC, U.S. facility, thus expanding its product offerings that meet the requirements of the Made in America provision of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

"By manufacturing the collectors at our facility in North Carolina we join a small handful of companies that manufacture solar collectors in the U.S.," said SolarHot Vice president of Engineering Dan Gretsch.

Platinum Series collectors are designed with copper absorbers, blue sputtered absorber coating, eleven copper risers, polyurethane insulation, and low-iron solar glass.
