Laurence Mawhinney is the new president of Fisher & Paykel Appliances North America; the appointment was announced today but was effective as of November 2009.
Mawhinney has been with F&P for 19 years, most recently as
Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The new appointment came after former President Mike Goadby's announced his retirement.
Mawhinney joined Fisher & Paykel Appliances in August 1991 as a sales representative for Australian. In 1997 Mawhinney began work to help build F&P's newly established business in the United States. Today, the U.S. is F&P's biggest single market.
