Middleby Named Yum Brands Supplier of the Year Apr 7, 2010

The Middleby Corporation became the first supplier of foodservice equipment ever named a Yum Brands Supplier of the Year.

Yum Brands is the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, A&W, and WingStreet, and has more than 37,000 restaurants in over 110 countries.

"Yum is a very innovative company, a game changer," said Middleby Chairman and CEO Selim A. Bassoul. "They have always challenged Middleby to develop cooking equipment that will revolutionize and disrupt the quick service restaurant industry. They have pushed us and made us a better company. We are proud to be their partner and Supplier of the Year."

Two Middleby brands were also award recipients. Middleby Marshall, which manufactures conveyor ovens, received the 2009 Equipment Supplier of the Year Award from Pizza Hut. Pitco, which makes fryers, was selected as the 2009 Equipment Supplier of the Year from Taco Bell.
