LG Reshuffles Management in India Dec 30, 2009

LG Electronics has brought in managerial changes in its Indian division, said a Financial Express report.

YV Verma, who has been at the center of LG India right from its inception in the country and has played a pivotal role in taking the brand to its current level of fortitude, has been elevated to the position of chief operating officer at LG India, the report said. He will be responsible for the company’s operations in India and spearhead sales and marketing functions of LGEIL, the company said in a statement.

While V Ramachandran, who was formerly director (marketing), will now head the strategy division of the company. Amitabh Tiwari, who has been the business head of the company’s home entertainment division, has now been elevated to the position of sales head of LG Electronics and his former position will now be taken over by Rohit Pandit who has been elevated as the business head for LG Home Entertainment division.

The company has recently appointed Sudhin Mathur as business head of mobile communication. Prior to the appointment, Mathur was the marketing head of Sony Ericsson, the report said.
