Rally Held Against Electrolux Spain Factory Closure Nov 24, 2009

More than 2500 people rallied against the closure of an Electrolux plant near Madrid, Spain, said a Barcelona Reporter report, which said that workers, politicians and unions view as "unjustified" the Electrolux announcement to close the factory in Alcala, only three days after the closure was announced.

The closure will affect 450 workers, and is due to the company relocating it production to China and Thailand.

The report said the demonstration was only a "starting point".
