Houswares maker Breville has rejected a takeover offer from rival G.U.D holdings, said a Reuters report.

Breville said a report by an independent expert evaluates GUD's all share offer to be worth between US$2.57 to $2.66 per Breville share, while the independent expert has assessed Breville's worth to be in the range of $2.73-$2.90 per share.

According to the Reuters report, Breville chairman, John Schmoll, said Breville's directors will not be selling their shares under the current offer, and recommend shareholders do the same.
