Electrolux to Consolidate U.S. Headquarters Nov 19, 2009

Electrolux announced it will consolidate several of its U.S. corporate office operations and support functions into a single location. The company expects to select the new location by the end of 2009. Consolidation will begin in summer 2010.

Locations that will combine and relocate to the new corporate headquarters include Electrolux Major Appliances North America Headquarters in Augusta, GA (excluding the Customer Care Center); Electrolux International Sales in Pittsburgh, PA; Electrolux Holding Company in Cleveland, OH; Electrolux Major Appliances (finance support) in Columbus, OH; Electrolux Major Appliances (accounts payable) in Springfield, TN; Electrolux Major Appliances North America Industrial Design Center in Anderson, SC; and Electrolux Major Appliances North America Sales and Finance in Huntersville, NC.

Longer term, other Electrolux entities in the U.S. will move their corporate office operations and support functions to the new headquarters. Electrolux said it will select the new location from cities currently under review and analysis. Electrolux is not considering Augusta for its new headquarters.
