U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy, will conduct a hearing on Friday, October 9, 2009 to investigate ways to reverse the credit crisis U.S. manufacturers currently face. Brownâ€™s hearing, "Restoring Credit to Manufacturers," will feature expert testimony from the administration, leading manufacturers and lenders.
Brown is an advocate in Congress for a national manufacturing policy to ensure U.S. global competitiveness. This is the third hearing Brown has held to address the challenges of domestic manufacturing.
