Carrier Acquires Air Purification Firm StrionAir Sep 3, 2009

Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp., has acquired StrionAir, a producer of air purification systems employing patented "capture and kill" technology.

Founded in 1997, StrionAir developed and patented enhanced electronic filtration methods and products, including a whole-house air purifier. StrionAir has been the supplier of the Carrier Infinity Air Purifier and Bryant Perfect Air Purifier since 2006.
