Sanyo Partners With CCSE on Renewable Energy Aug 5, 2009

Sanyo North America Corp. has partnered with the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) to replace all traditional dry cell batteries in the CCSE’s facilities with SANYO "eneloop" rechargeable batteries.

SANYO’s "eneloop" rechargeable battery is specifically designed to encourage reusing existing resources. Both rechargeable and recyclable, eneloop batteries reportedly hold up to 85% of the charge after one year of sitting on the shelf, and are rechargeable up to 1000 times.
