Retailer Target will officially open 23 stores on Sunday, July 26, 2009. Four are general merchandise stores, 17 are general merchandise stores with expanded food options and two are full-grocery SuperTarget stores. The stores will open across the United States, including a general merchandise store in Kona, Hawaii, and will create a total of about 4000 jobs. The new openings will bring Target's total 1719 stores in 49 states.
