Miele announced that its Independence Series 30-inch bottom mount refrigerators are ranked #1 by Energy Star, proving 33% more efficient than the current federal standard. A Miele Independence Series refrigerator is engineered to last 20+ years - reportedly more than 7 years longer than the average refrigerator. And most of its quality parts are recyclable after its useful life is completed.

The refrigerator was cited for its energy saving technology, which includes RemoteVision technology that raises an alarm if a door is left open too long, a SuperCool feature helps the refrigerator to work quicker to get back to its optimal cooling temperature, and MasterCool technology that allows for the setting of correct temperatures by zone and food type.
