The ZigBee Alliance announced that Emerson is a Promoter level member and the newest member of the ZigBee Alliance Board of Directors.
Several Emerson business platforms are expected to become active in the Alliance, starting with Emerson Climate Technologies, a provider of HVAC solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications, and its White-Rodgers division, which specializes in climate-control technologies.
Emerson joins Ember Corp., Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., Huawei Technologies, Itron Inc., Landis+Gyr, Philips Electronics, Reliant Energy, Samsung, Schneider Electric, STMicroelectronics, Tendril, Inc. and Texas Instruments on the ZigBee Alliance Board of Directors.
