Daikin Industries, Ltd. of Japan opened a development and testing facility within Daikin McQuay Applied Development Center, Plymouth, MN, U.S. for large-scale commercial (applied) air-conditioning equipment.
The initial investment is US$52 million. The facility will focus on reproducing worldwide temperatures (minus 20ºC to plus 60ºC) and power supply specifications (frequency and voltage) of each country of the world to increase the energy efficiency and reliability of large-scale commercial air-conditioning equipment, such as screw chillers and centrifugal chillers.
