Butterball and Masterbuilt have created the Butterball Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer.
With CSA certification and a design that meets Underwriters Laboratories Inc. standards, the fryer is safe to use indoors, Masterbuilt says. It can fry turkeys up to 14 pounds - enough for up to eight to 10 people - reportingly using one-third less oil than conventional turkey fryers.
Safety features include a thermostat temperature control that prevents overheating as well as a digital timer that helps cook the turkey just right. Other features include a folding lid with window and grease filter; a turkey tap drain valve and removable porcelain coated inner pot for easy cleaning, and a stainless steel outer shell.
The fryer measures 18.1 in long, 16.7 in wide and 16.8 in high. It will be available in retail stores nationwide, starting in September for US$119.99.
