The Toro Co. plans to temporarily lay off 235 hourly workers at its Tomah, WI, U.S. plant beginning April 20 due to a "significant downturn" in business, it said.
Although the layoffs are expected to be temporary, they could extend beyond six months, according to a mass layoff notice filed May 17 with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Toro’s Tomah plant produces debris pickup equipment and institutional and commercial turf care equipment.
