Replacement/Conversion of Canadian CFC Chiller Stock Decreases in 2008 Apr 8, 2009

According to the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), 267 chillers previously operating on CFC refrigerants were converted or replaced during 2008 in Canada. This represents a 3.2% decrease in conversions/replacements compared to 2007 and brings the total number of converted or replaced chillers from 2608 (2007) to 2875 and the rate of conversion/replacements from 47.5% (2007) to 52.4%.
