Sub-Zero/Wolf to Lay Off 350 Workers Mar 2, 2009

Sub-Zero Freezer/Wolf Appliance will lay off up to 350 workers on or after May 1 due to slow sales. The appliance OEM laid off 79 workers in January at the Wolf Appliance division in Madison, WI, U.S. It also has operations in Fitchburg, WI, and Phoenix, AZ.

Vice President of Human Resources Chuck Verri blames the recession and a slowdown in home construction and remodeling. He says much of the company's business comes from kitchen remodeling.
