Wellington Drive Technologies' ECR 90, 92, and 82 motors have received the FIDE’s energy efficiency label in the fractional and sub-fractional horsepower motor category. FIDE is Mexico's Private Trust Fund for Electric Energy Saving (FIDE) certification program. According to Wellington, the designation is the first time that small motors have been awarded an energy efficiency certification in Latin America.
"A new standard is in place that will allow consumers to clearly differentiate between our energy saving motors and traditional inefficient products” said David Mc Shane, president of Wellington (Americas). "We expect FIDE’s label to have a strong impact in the energy saving motor industry, just as it did in the appliance and refrigeration sectors."
Wellington designs and manufactures energy saving motors used in commercial and residential
appliances such as supermarket refrigerators, bottle coolers, vending machines, washing machines, and
