Tatung to Implement Unpaid Leave Policy Dec 30, 2008

Taiwan-based consumer electronics and home appliance maker Tatung, the parent company of LCD panel maker Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT), will require employees to take a one-day unpaid leave per week starting Jan. 1, 2009, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

Tatung had November revenues of NT$2.79 billion (approx. US$84.9 million), down 18.1% from NT$3.4 billion in October and down 29% on year. The company's accumulated revenues from January to November totaled NT$34.2 billion, down 11.8% on year.
