Slovenia's top household appliances maker Gorenje plans to cut labor hours in production to 36 hours a week per employee from 40 starting January 1, due to lower demand caused by the global financial crisis, according to a Reuters report. The company also plans to cut managers' wages by 10%, chief executive Franjo Bobinac said. "We do not plan to strongly reduce the number of employees," he said.
