BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH has been named Germany’s most sustainable company by the Committee for Sustainable Development and Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. The German Sustainability Award recognizes companies that combine economic success with social responsibility and protection of the environment in an exemplary manner, and use their sustainable activities to generate further growth.

BSH was recognized in particular for its continuous improvement of its products’ environmental attributes. In 1996, for example, BSH launched the Product Environmental Analysis, or PEA, which examines the lifecycle of all new products. In addition, BSH has established an environmental management system at all of its operating locations. And since 1992, BSH has documented its responsibility towards the environment and society in its annual sustainability report.
