Beginning Jan. 1, 2009, the businesss functions of Nikko Tanaka Engineering USA, Ltd., the sales and support company for Tanaka-branded outdoor power equipment in North America, will be absorbed into Hitachi Koki, USA. The move is to improve business efficiencies, incorporate product lines, and allow the companies to share technological innovations and R&D.
The Tanaka brand will continue to be sold through its independent dealer network.
