Tecumseh Products Company announced results for 3Q ended Sept. 30, 2008.
Consolidated net sales from continuing operations in the third quarter of 2008 decreased to US$256.2 million from $278.4 million in 2007. Sales of compressors for air-conditioning and other applications declined by $13.6 million, while sales for refrigeration and freezer applications declined by $9.6 million. Compressors for commercial applications reported a slight increase in sales of $1.0 million.
