Replacement/Conversion of Canadian CFC Chiller Stock Shows Increase in 2007

According to the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), 276 chillers previously operating on CFC refrigerants were converted or replaced during 2007 in Canada. This represents a 23% increase in conversions/replacements compared to 2006, and brings the total number of converted or replaced chillers from 2332 (2006) to 2608 and the rate of conversion/replacements from 42.5% (2006) to 47.5%. HRAI says that there are now approximately 2878 CFC chillers that need to be replaced in Canada.
