Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced plans for a new facility in Melville, NY, U.S. that will serve as the corporate headquarters for Canon Americas, overseeing more than 10,000 employees in 23 affiliate companies across North, Central, and South Americas. The new Canon Americas headquarters will be built on a 52-acre site and will attain at least a Silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status.
The company has plans to grow the workforce at its new headquarters to 2500 employees. The new facility will be complete at the end of 2010.
